A new report published today shows that stroke research remains severely underfunded compared to the devastating impact it has on people’s lives. The UK Health Research Analysis 2018 also shows stroke research receives much less funding than many other areas of health research.

After a stroke, people often want to know how their recovery could progress and what life might look like in the future. Right now, there aren’t many tools available to help health professionals to predict recovery, so we’re funding research to change this.
COVID-19 and Stroke Grant

There have been reports of patients with COVID-19 experiencing neurological complications including stroke, but we don’t understand enough about this potential link. This call is focused on funding research addressing these questions to understand the potential causal links and mechanisms between COVID-19 and stroke.
